What is the role of the local church?
We need to do all that we can to advance the Kingdom through World Missions involvement. Jesus commissioned us in Matthew 28:18-20 to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” The mission of the local church is the Great Commission: locally and globally.
What is New Life’s role in missions?
New Life supports missionary families, and indigenous leaders and their families; both of which are usually envoys of mission agencies or indigenous churches. Our primary focus is on missionaries, leaders, churches, and organizations that promote leadership training and church planting. When we travel to other countries we go with a stated mission focus that is agreed upon beforehand with those we are visiting in order to come alongside them in the way they specifically need/want us to at that time. Some outreaches are construction, teaching/preaching, leadership training and development, relational connectivity, orphanages, drug rehab center support, men’s and women’s ministry, disaster relief and humanitarian outreach.
Our primary focus is the nations of the 10/40 Window which represents 90% of the unreached people groups in the world. Our approach is through partnership with other strategic, forward-thinking national and international ministries, as well as developing long-term relationships with indigenous churches, leaders, and ministries. New Life has 3 target nations where we have developed long standing relationships with the goal of making a deeper strategic impact. These nations are Russia, India, and Israel. However, when opportunities to impact other nations come we are eager to respond.
Today there is a large and time-sensitive challenge to fulfill the Great Commission in Russia where over 133 cities of 100,000 or more people have no life-giving church where the Gospel of Jesus Christ is heard. Partnership 133 is a 10 year visionary plan of strategic church planting through partnerships of unity with trusted church leaders in Russia. Through this unique partnership your church can have the joy of being directly responsible for advancing the Gospel in an unreached city through relational connectivity in the establishing of a local church.
